James B. Hand Fine Art is the operating business of James
“Gully” Hand. A dealer and appraiser of American art for 33
years, Mr. Hand apprenticed in the business for 7 years,
beginning in 1978, at the Vose Galleries of Boston, a pre-eminent gallery for American
art in Boston, Massachusetts.
James B. Hand Fine Art operates from a gallery on
Rocky Neck in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Mr. Hand is engaged
in the buying, selling, and brokerage of fine paintings and
in the provision of fine art appraisal and consulting
services to his clients.
